ONA

ONA is a Spanish manufacturer of Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM) founded in 1952. ONA produced one of the world's first Sinking Electrical Discharge Machine (SEDM) in 1956. Experience gathered since that time in the field of EDM machines manufacturing has made ONA the leading EDM machine manufacturer in the European Union (EU).

ONA is a Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) awarded with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, with worldwide presence, by means of Owner offices and/or relationships with Subsidiaries and Distributors. The company is independent, employing a workforce of approximately 140, of which 26 are working in the R&D department.

The production range of ONA covers both Die-Sinking EDM machines and Wire Electrical Discharge Machines and also EDM Filtration systems for each technology. The skill of ONA covers different technologies involved in an EDM machine, such as: Hardware, Software, CNC, Mechanical and Filtration designs.

ONA has great experience participating in several European projects since 1991, acting also as coordinator in two projects under BRITE EURAM III, and currently is a partnership in two Sixth Frame program projects.
